Application software Altera DSP Builder

Hi,
The book is very interesting because it raises the problem of the practical description of chaotic systems on an FPGA platform.
It is a very big step towards industrial applications.

I think that the chapter number. 9 is very important and should be more extended by practical descriptions.

I have some questions about using the software Altera's DSP Builder and Quartus II v.12.0:

1. What is the relationship between the Quartus 12.0 software and Altera DSP Builder software?
Are these software are working together?

2. In the examples in the book showing the implementation of different chaotic systems as for example Chua, Ikeda in program Altera's DSP Builder, but if they cooperate with the program Quartus II v.12?

Could you describe in more detail what effects can be achieved by using Altera's DSP Builder software?

3. The book shows the implementation of many of chaotic systems in the Altera DSP Builder, but how can you better show the final result of work?
Can you program the Altera DSP Builder model of chaotic move to the platform DE2-115?

Adam, to answer your questions:

1. Altera DSP builder is an add-on to Quartus that helps in specifying FPGA designs via block diagrams. So, technically, the answer to your question is a "yes, they do work together".

2. As we have been discussing offline, yes, the designs are implemented in Quartus v. 12. And, as we discussed, please buy the rest of the book :D. There is discussion in chapters prior to 9 as to why one can use DSP builder for implementing chaotic systems.

3. The answer to this question also is that you should buy the entire book.

Thx.
